Siding

This weekend we spent our time finishing up on some siding on the back of the house.  Most of the pieces that were left had a lot of cut outs for windows and doors, so it took quite a while.  I was surprised at how it looked so much more finished with a lot of the blue wrap covered up.  We caught ourselves saying "it'll look so much more finished when the rock is done" and then we realize that of course it will look more done...because it will be!

I was looking back at old pictures to show the progress we made and I think the last time we worked on siding was July of 2009!  It only took a couple of years to get to, but at least it got done:)  This picture makes me happy with the progress we made on the house, but I wish our weeds were non-existent like they were back in 2009.

Front Entry

Travis had the past two days off and worked like crazy to finish the rock on the front entry.  It looks amazing and so much more finished!  There's just a little bit more to do on the side of the front stairs and then he can move on to another section of the house...

Pavers and Rock

The weather hasn't seemed to be cooperating since we returned from vacation, so we haven't made as much progress as we would have liked.  The weekend after we got back, we laid the pavers for our back patio.  We still need to put the sand in all the grout joints, but it is so nice to at least have the pavers put down.

Yesterday, Travis put up his Power Poles and started working on the rock above the front door.  He made his own capstone pieces and made quite a bit of progress over his days off.
