First Roll!

Bryant didn't sleep very well last night and I think it was because he had a big trick that he wanted to show us.  He rolled from his back to his tummy for the first time this morning!  I was right when I said a while back that I thought he would do back to tummy before tummy to back:)

In other news, the jumperoo is becoming more entertaining.

He must like the "fun house" mirrors better than regular mirrors because he loved his distorted reflection in his jumperoo mirror!

3 Months

Happy (belated) 3 month birthday to our little man!

Still trying to figure out how those hands work

Learning is hard work!

Winter

I definitely wasn't ready to see snow on the ground yesterday, but Bryant was sure excited for winter.  We got him a coat, hat, and mittens, but I couldn't find anything smaller than 12 months, so they are a little big.  It didn't seem to bother this happy boy though!

He wore it home from daycare today and was conked!

First Cold

I was sad taking Bryant to daycare because I didn't want to miss out on any firsts.  Unfortunately, on Saturday, Bryant woke up with his first cold and that was one first we were hoping to avoid.  He had a runny nose and watery eyes so he got to take naps in our bed so his head was slightly elevated.

You would hardly be able to tell he was sick because he was still pretty smiley.  He just needed some extra naps and cuddle time.

He's doing better today, so luckily his first cold wasn't too hard on him (or me).

Stories

Bryant has become quite the story teller lately.  His teacher says that he likes to quietly talk to her all day and when he gets home, he likes to tell us all about his day.  His must have fun because he is all smiles when he tells his stories.

I should clarify...most of his stories are all smiles.  This story came with a little pout.

He still thinks ceiling fans are cooler than any toy.

I'll post a sign up sheet for anyone who was curious enough to read what his shirt says...
Such a tired boy!
Maybe it is his little Bobcat jersey that puts him to sleep.  Not sure if he is working on his Usain Bolt pose or about ready to sing a song to his microphone hand.

Three days of daycare can sure tire a baby out!

In other news, Bryant is starting to figure out that he has hands.  He sucks on his hands a lot, but now he stares at them with extreme wonder and will then watch in amazement as he slaps a toy.  Too cute!  We will try and get a video to share, but everytime I have pulled out the camera lately, he gets shy and just stares at me.

More Firsts

Bryant is 11 weeks now and experienced some big firsts this week.  I went back to work on Tuesday, but instead of starting daycare that day, he got to spend the day with Travis.  They were busy while I was gone.  Among many things they went for a walk

and played with toys.

Today was his first day at daycare, which I was really nervous for, but he did great.  He talked to me the whole ride in and immediately took a liking to his teacher.  He was smiling and talking to her right away.

When I picked him up, he was being held by one of his teachers and was about ready to fall asleep, so it made me feel better thinking that he got lots of attention today.  It also proved that today was way harder on me than him!

Busy Bryant

Bryant has been a busy boy since the last update.  He went for a stroller ride and was smiling away as soon as I put his blanket on.

On Sunday, he saw so much family.  Grandma and Grandpa Handl were up for a quick visit and unfortunately Bryant only saw them through the back of his eyelids.  Uncle Ryan and Aunt Jen and cousins Reagan and Zoey came to Grandma and Grandpa Zanto's house and got lots of play time.  Bryant thought Uncle Ryan was pretty silly!

We still can't get enough of those smiles and Mocha had to make her token appearance too:)

Playing on the blanket from Grandma with his Taggie (aka "dapi") from his cousin Madeline
Wednesday was one of Travis and my last days off together before I go back to work, so we wanted to do something fun.  We wanted to go somewhere we hadn't been before and we wanted to see how little man would take to the water, so we headed to the hot springs in White Sulphur Springs.  The weather in Montana took a turn for the worse on Wednesday, so it was a little windy and chilly outside the water, but Bryant was pretty happy in the water.  He didn't show very much facial expression the whole time in the water, but he was so relaxed.  I think it wore him out as he ended up going to bed at 7:00 instead of his regular 9:00 bed time.  It was a pretty drive with the trees changing color and an all around great day!

Perfecting his back float
When we got home from White Sulphur Springs, we attempted the jumperoo.  Apparently all those toys, lights, and colors are no competition to a ceiling fan...

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's Super baby!

Smiling and drooling away
We also got a few decorations up around the house.  I had such a hard time picking my favorite newborn pictures, so I ended up ordering a canvas with multiple pictures.  It turned out great and we hung it in the hallway on the way to Bryant's room

We also wanted to hang letters with Bryant's name in his room and I finally completed the project.
