Bryant's doctor was happy with Bryant's progress and says he is right on track. Everything at the appointment was good news, except that he has a double ear infection:( He hasn't been sleeping as well, which makes me wonder how long he has had the ear infections. I feel bad for not taking him in sooner, but the little guy is so tough and always acts happy! Here were his stats at his appointment:
Height: 28 3/4" (64%)
Weight: 20 lb 9 oz (64%)
Head: 47 1/4 cm (96%)
For comparison purposes, Bryant was a little shorter and a little heavier than Travis was at 9 months. Travis was 29 1/4" long and 18 pounds 15 ounces.

Kicking It
Last night was another rough night. Poor guy was still miserable this morning
But after a good morning nap, I think Bryant finally kicked his fever. He got his appetite back and is ready to play!

How to kick a fever
Poor Bryant has a nasty little cold. When we have managed to get his fever under control, he still acts pretty happy, so he has been quite the trooper. We have tried sleeping it off and although he looks quite peaceful in this picture, it didn't last long.
The railroad fair was in town, so we walked through and got to see a lot of trains, but that didn't kick the fever
Grandma and Grandpa came over for dinner and we tried and tried to get him to nap. Grandma took the prize for getting Bryant to sleep. Grandma had to work hard because he hardly ever falls asleep like that, but Bryant snuggles are the best reward!
Our attempts to kick the fever have been unsuccessful so far, so it looks like Bryant's nine month appointment will be combined with a sick visit:(

9 Months
On Wednesday, Bryant turned 9 months old.
Are you kidding? 9 months already? |
He is pulling himself up on everything and getting better and better at walking around furniture. His hair is starting to grow a little more, although it seems to be coming in as a mohawk mullet...
Being more active, he is also a little more accident prone. He has had a couple boo-boos at home that caused bruises and then we got this from daycare...
The "real" story sounded more like him and another girl were playing together and they fell and he landed on the bottom. Apparently earlier in the day they were doing crawling tricks too. The girl had her hands on Bryant's back and they were crawling back and forth on the floor. I wasn't expecting to have the girlfriend talk already...I guess he was a gentleman, at least, since he took the brunt of the fall and she landed on him:)
This weekend he came down with another cold, so we tried a sippy cup for the first time to try and make sure he stayed hydrated. I think he liked playing with it more than anything!

Coasters are fun...
Bryant has been blabbing like crazy today and the coasters made for good playmates. I wonder what he was saying...
He is so full of energy and spunk. I can't get enough of his little personality that is starting to show more and more.

Circus
The circus was in town today so we had to take Bryant. I thought he would love seeing all the animals and action, but he was actually more entertained by the other kids in the crowd. I wasn't very impressed with how they had it set up. We actually sat on the floor in the "ring". The one thing Bryant did watch was the trapeze guy that climbed right over our heads. So here is our future trapeze artist!
It was still entertaining and a fun night out on the town!

New Adventures
Last Saturday, I played in the alumni match and Bryant was excited to have another excuse to wear his jersey.
On Sunday, I was a bit sore and Bryant was coming down with a bit of a cold, so we headed over to Fairmont to swim. And the trip just would not have been complete without a trip to Silver Bow Pizza! Trav and I played a couple games of skee ball and basketball and Bryant enjoyed getting the tickets.
Bryant got his first arcade prize from our ticket winnings
The car ride used to be a guaranteed nap for Bryant, but that isn't always the case anymore. Half the time I get him home from daycare, he's done something crazy with his hat. The other day, he apparently decided that wearing it backwards was more fun.
Bryant has been trying more and more foods and definitely loves meal time
No...that's not a tooth. Just a puff:) |
He now prefers to crawl rather than army crawl and is pulling up on everything. Our nickname for him used to be "Little B" and it now has become "Busy B". He definitely keeps us on our toes, but we wouldn't want it any other way!

Uh Oh...Stairs!
Over the past weekend, Travis and I were bragging that Bryant could climb the first stair, but didn't have enough room on that first step to climb anymore. Well, he now has the first stair figured out and there's no obstacle to keep him "contained" downstairs!
Am I doing good? |
Ha, I can climb stairs! |
Want to come cuddle up with this stud who can climb stairs? |

Happy Easter!
Bryant was a very lucky boy over Easter weekend as he got to spend time with both sets of grandparents. On Saturday, my parents came over for the afternoon.
With a little help from Mocha, he got to open up our Easter basket from Grandma and Grandpa.
He gets so excited when he catches his ball! |
And more presents from my Aunt Sheri, Uncle Carl, and cousin Erik
Then, he showed off his crawling skills for a little Easter egg hunt.
He also showed his horse riding skills and that Dad gives the best horsey rides.
On Sunday, we ventured over to Whitehall to meet up with Trav's parents
Bryant went to church and apparently signed up to be in the choir because every time the church sang, he chimed in! Then he got to open his Easter present from Grandma and Grandpa
And another Easter egg hunt
He's really drooling over the puffs that the Easter bunny put in his eggs! |
Showing off his climbing skills to get the egg off the stairs |
We had to take advantage of the nice, but windy weather in Whitehall, so Travis brought his kite.
Showing how to fly the kite |
Bryant supervising and giving Grandpa pointers on how to fly the kite |
Making sure Mom does it right. And yes, I am really bracing myself because that kite almost picked me up and blew me back to Helena! |
The experts giving more tips to Grandpa |
And it's up and flying! |
We had such a great Easter weekend with family, but it all went way too fast!
We are loving the warmer weather for now and ventured out on a walk around the neighborhood last night. Mocha got tired and Bryant wanted a better view, so this was our compromise...
