Happy Halloween!

Last night, we picked out a pumpkin to carve

Bryant, what face should we carve on the pumpkin?

Dad, why are you cutting my pumpkin?

Mom, why are you taking the pieces out of my pumpkin.  This is where that piece belongs.

Oooooo!

Bryant was a lumberjack for Halloween and my work had trick-or-treating, so Bryant got to show off his cute costume

He participated in his first costume judging contest.  He didn't win, but a lot of people did love his costume:)

After work we went trick-or-treating at Grandma and Grandpa's house

Starting to get the concept of taking candy.  Although, I think he is more into sharing because he would bring a piece of candy back to his bucket and take one from his bucket back to the bowl.

We went to three houses around our neighborhood too.  Bryant was very good at signing thank you to almost everyone.  I think his favorite part about trick-or-treating was not the candy, but the fact that he got to chase Mocha from house to house when we walked around the neighborhood.  Happy Halloween from our cute little lumberjack!

15 Months

Bryant is 15 months and growing like crazy!  I haven't taken a whole lot of pictures since we got back from vacation, so here are a few of our new activities...
Helping decorate for Halloween

Loving his dog - I think he even may be trying to say Mocha, but it sounds a lot like dada.

Travis had to work this weekend and Bryant had a fever and wasn't himself.  Being the awesome daddy and husband that Travis is, he brought us home some milkshakes, which made everyone feel a lot better!  I thought the fever was a little cold, but we found today, it may have been a cold and the new tooth that came in on the bottom.

Bryant enjoys getting to do art projects both at daycare:
and at home:

Today was Bryant's 15 month doctor's appointment so we got to find out his stats.  We were thinking that Bryant has really grown in the past couple weeks because his 12 month pants have become capris and his 18 month pajamas are almost too small.  The appointment confirmed our thoughts.  I think they stretched him extra long today, be he jumped from the 50th percentile in height to the 90th percentile!  His official stats were:
Height: 32 3/4" (93%)
Weight: 25 pounds, 12 ounces (86%)
Head circumference: 49 1/4 cm (97%)

Although I am not officially an auditor anymore, I apparently still like charts and updated the charts to compare Travis and Bryant's height and weight.  Besides Bryant weighing a little more, those two have been almost identical!
Height

Weight
Bryant is back to using more and more sign language and I think his visit with his cousins helped him develop more of his language as he is trying to speak more words lately.  He will sign more, please, cracker, milk, and eat.  He will also mimic the signs for airplane, ball, and dog although I'm not sure he remembers them.  His words are mama, dada, more, cracker, and bubble.  He is also really intrigued by clocks and will try and repeat the word clock after we say it - I think mostly because he likes to say words with the ck sound.  He is starting to understand what we ask him to do and sometimes he will even do it (if he feels like it).  When he is in the mood, he can tell you where his head, nose, and belly are - he likes to lift his shirt up and point out his belly button.  He also has a "chore" that he gets super excited to do - put dog food in Mocha's bowl.  He carries the cup of food from the bag to the bowl, attempts to dump it in Mocha's bowl (which usually ends up all over the floor), and then he runs back to the bag to put the cup back in.  It's super cute!

San Diego Vacation

Aunt Heather, Uncle Brian, and cousins Madeline and Olivia recently moved to San Diego, so we packed up the van and headed south for a little vacation.  We saw two moose on our way down.

The first night we made it all the way to Beaver, UT and apparently Beaver is not like Vegas because what happens there, doesn't stay there.  Bryant got his first tattoo...

It must have either been too noisy or too bright in our room for Bryant because this was how I found him when I woke up...

Bryant did so well for being in the car for such long periods of time.  He got to snack on a lot of foods and play with a lot of toys.  Here he is chatting away on his phone

Sunday was our first full day in San Diego and we started it out by going to the Aquarium
Yep...this was the view from the Aquarium
Bryant loved splashing in the outdoor pools

But he loved looking at all the inside ones even more.  He would run from window to window while pointing his finger and "talking".  It was so fun to watch!

"Did you see that fish?"

The Aquarium also had displays outside to show ways to generate energy.  If you spun a wheel, it played music.  Bryant and Olivia heard the music...

...and immediately started dancing!

Uncle Brian had his car in the car show, so in the afternoon, we went to the park to see all the cars.  I think Travis found a couple cars that he wouldn't mind having in our garage!

Madeline had a little "strider" bike (no pedals) in the garage and every time we got back to their house, Bryant would run in the garage and want to ride the bike.

The next day was spent at the Zoo.  We saw a lot of really neat animals and had an absolute blast!

We got some good cousin pictures posing with the animal statues

Right before going to the Zoo, Bryant had tripped and fell and got his first bloody nose and a bit of a fat lip, but that didn't stop him from having fun!

The little ones loved the meerkats!

That afternoon, we got to play in the hot tub.  Bryant loved to relax and soak!

The next day, we headed to the beach

That evening we had dinner at a Mexican restaurant close to the beach and were able to catch the sunset over the water.  It was absolutely beautiful!  There was a kids park not too far away, so we played and got lots of pictures.

The next day was spent at Sea World.

Checking out the dolphins

Shamu said "hi" to Bryant when he was doing his warm-up

The cousins admiring Shamu

Feeding the sting rays

Popcorn at the Shamu show was a hit!

Everyone was so excited for the show!

The little ones took a nap, so the big kids got to play some too!

After a long day, those kiddos needed a bath!

Our last day there, we spent at the Children's Museum, which like all our other adventures, was a blast!

Painting the tractor

I think Bryant got more paint on himself than the tractor!

This was the start of Bryant and Olivia really starting to "play" with each other

And when Bryant "plays", he tackles...

Splashing in the bubbles was super fun...

...until it gets in your eyes.
The weather was always perfect and our little boy who loves to play outside took advantage of every chance he got to be outside...even lunch!

The last night, we went back to another restaurant next to the beach to enjoy another sunset

The drive home went just as well as the drive there and we had one tired little boy!

We had an absolutely amazing vacation and can't wait to go back! Thanks to Aunt Heather, Uncle Brian, Madeline, and Olivia for making our trip so fun:)
