Garrett Giggles!

We took a road trip last weekend to Whitehall and any road trip is not complete unless you have a special Captain America drink!

This is one of my favorite pictures - Garrett loves his daddy and thinks he is so silly!

The weather hasn't been very nice lately - even Bryant's last soccer game was cancelled.  So, we've been doing some inside activities.  One being recovering our dining room chairs.  We thought it would be fun for Bryant to pick out whatever fabric he wanted for his seat and he chose...Paw Patrol.  He was super excited!

Look at these two cuties!

I realized after I posted the other day, that I forgot to do Garrett's 3 month update.  He is absolutely growing like a weed!  We'll get the official update when he goes back to the doctor next month, but I think he has far surpassed his brother at this age. He seems to be adjusting to daycare really well.  He is so much more observant lately - watching everything his brother does and is now trying to grab for toys.  He is also getting more wiggly, so I think he'll be rolling over within the next month.  But the cutest thing of all is that he is learning how to giggle.  He's been doing it for about a week now and he finds loud noises to  be the funniest:)

Camping and More

We had a busy day after Bryant's soccer game last week, but the most important was getting the tent set up in the backyard.  Bryant LOVED having the tent up!

He also had to finish up his and Garrett's artwork for a Mother's Day present.

And it wouldn't be a true camping experience without S'mores! Bryant also thought his slippers were a must have too:)

It did get a little chilly that night, but surprisingly everyone slept halfway decent.  But I did get the best Mother's Day present the next day...a 2 hour family nap!!!!  Then it was time for a bike ride.  Doesn't he look cool?

Monday was Garrett's first day of school, so we wanted to take a picture of the boys before they headed out for the morning.  Bryant didn't want to take a picture with Garrett because he was afraid Garrett was going to barf on him (his words, not mine), but finally did agree to take a picture.  Minus a few little misunderstandings with a few of the newer gals at daycare, Garrett did really well his first week.

He is one super happy baby when big brother provides entertainment during bath time!

Garrett had another pair of pajamas on and I was going to take a picture to see how he compared to Bryant...and Bryant decided to photobomb the picture!

And it looked like so much fun that Dad and Mocha joined in too:)

We had another soccer game today where Bryant played and had fun, but was a little intimidated by a team of much bigger girls, so he hardly kicked it at all.  Afterwards, he really wanted to go to the tunnel slide and playground where I went to elementary school with Grandpa Jack and Grandma Susie.  Grandpa and Bryant played hard for about 3 hours and then this kiddo crashed hard.  We promised him a movie night where we would all sleep in the theater room because it was too cold outside and he fell asleep around 5:30 and was out for the rest of the night!

Garrett had a little role reversal where Bryant slept and Garrett played instead of the opposite.  He's almost tall enough to do the jumperoo without a pillow underneath.

Soccer and more

Garrett isn't a big fan of the stroller, but he doesn't seem to mind too much when Bryant drives him around.

This kid is too cool for school in his shades...at least until Monday since that'll be his first day of school

Garrett is a growing boy, so we pulled out Bryant's six month clothes and they seem to fit quite well.  Can you tell which one is Garrett and which one is Bryant?

Garrett was the first picture (~3 months old) and Bryant was the second (~5 months old).

We got some new painting supplies and swimming goggles at the store the other day.  They weren't intended to be painting goggles, but Bryant seemed to like them that way.

We had another soccer game today and it started out the same as any other game...Bryant running around on the field and stepping over the ball on purpose to avoid kicking it.  Then at halftime, he kicked it around with another little boy on his team and I bribed him and said if he kicked the ball, we could go camping in our back yard.  So...we are going camping in the back yard tonight!!!  Surprisingly I caught all 3 of his goals on video today:)

1st goal:

Kickoff for the 2nd goal

And the whole length of the field for the 3rd goal!

We were so excited because this is the Bryant we see all the time at home and knew once he kicked it once he would have even more fun!  And apparently scoring goals is exhausting.  He hasn't been taking naps on the weekend, but as soon as we got out of the parking lot after lunch, he conked out!
