Rock Competition

If you know Travis and I, you know that we can't do anything without making it a competition. So, when the rock was delivered we decided to have a competition on who could put together the best sample of our rock. Even though Travis has done rockwork before, I agreed to the competition because it sounded way better than painting.

Travis gave me a quick lesson and held up the tips to a successful installation.

So we purchased two types of rocks. The next two pictures are the rock that will go on the outside of the house and on the upstairs fireplace and dining room columns. I did a sample and Travis did a sample. You can vote on which one you like and after the poll closes, I will tell you who did which sample! The nice part about this rock is that some of the pieces are huge which will definitely help it go up faster.

The next two pictures are of the rock that will go on the downstairs fireplace and bar. This rock will take longer because the pieces are not perfectly square and they are smaller. I think they come in 1, 2, and 4 inches. The same voting goes with these pictures...
