I can't believe how far behind I am...I still have some pictures from Easter that I haven't uploaded! My Aunt Sheri and Uncle Carl sent an Easter package in the mail that the boys loved!
And their shirts were too cute!
I can't believe I didn't even blog during Bryant's whole soccer season! Bryant definitely was shy, but once he got out on the field, he had a blast. His coach did really well with him, so much so that we signed Bryant up for t-ball and requested the same coach. His first game, he just held the coaches hand while he played.
But he felt comfortable enough to go out and say good game to the other team, which was HUGE progress.
Grandpa Ed and Grandma Betty had spent the night with us just after the boys attended a Star Wars themed birthday party, so of course they had to play ninja swords.
The Harlem Globetrotters were in Butte, so we took a little road trip so Bryant could watch some more basketball. I think it's one of those things that seems super awesome as a young kid, but the older you get the less cool it is. At least Bryant really enjoyed it.
More soccer! Bryant found the easiest way to score a goal.
This was his best game because he wasn't afraid to get out there and kick the ball. All the rest of the games he would do the kickoff and then just run around to support his team, but avoid kicking the ball.
We can already tell the different personalities of our kiddos because we're encouraging Bryant to get on the soccer field and encouraging Garrett to get off the field!
Even doing the team cheer is a big change for Bryant. Go Night Crawlers!
One of his preschool buddies had his birthday party at the gymnastics place. It's amazing the difference a year makes because last year Bryant wouldn't even go up on the trampoline and this year he was plunging into the foam pit.
Definitely no shyness with this kid - he was out playing with all the big kids.
It had been more than 5 years since Travis and I had a kidless vacation, so to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we decided to go to Vegas. We had an awesome time and the kids did perfectly fine without us. I know the few followers that we have for our blog to see kiddo pictures, but you get a few of our vacation too. One of the reasons we picked Vegas was to see a comedian (Jim Gaffigan) that we saw in New York over 10 years ago. Besides the show, we ate and drank, people watched, and went on a hot air balloon ride...pretty memorable 10 years!
The weekend after we got back was Mother's Day, so we took Grandma Susie to brunch
and then visited Grandma Betty in Whitehall
A couple weeks ago, Travis spotted some baby foxes in our neighborhood, so we went on a fox walk to try and get a closer look. I thought the foxes were so cute, but if you were to ask Bryant the highlight of the walk, he would say it was the 2 ant hills that he found.
You can get a glimpse of the fox in the background - I have a close up of them that I'll post in the 2nd half catch-up post.
Garrett started in the stroller for the walk, but this kid loves to run...
He's also been doing this move a lot. Not sure if he's trying to look between his legs, stand on his head, or start a somersault. Either way, it's pretty cute!
Team picture after the last game!
Bryant gets to drive the lawnmower with Dad, so Garrett wanted a turn too!
Garrett outgrew his infant car seat, so we moved him up to Bryant's car seat and got Bryant a new car seat. Poor second kid always gets the hand-me-downs. We looked at weight and height measurements and Bryant just needs a booster seat now. He had a birthday party for another classmate and totally wore himself out, but he found out that it's a lot harder to sleep in a booster seat.
Garrett wants to do everything Bryant does, so he gave the strider bike a try the other night. He didn't make it too far, but had a big smile at least.
More walks!
After going for a walk, Bryant always asks if we can sit on the deck and have ice cream.
Garrett is becoming a lot more vocal with words and sign language. His version of dog is a different version than what actual sign language is though. He pants when he sees a dog!
I still have a ton of pictures from Memorial Day and things to say about Garrett being 15 months and now almost 16 months! More to come in the 2nd half post....hopefully sooner rather than later.
