Last weekend, Bryant was super excited to decorate his pumpkins. We started with painting the small ones.
I'd say he was pretty happy with his finished products!
Then it was time to carve the big ones.
Bryant was so excited to carve them, until he realized we had to get all the guts out of them first...
The whole time..."Ewwww, guts!"
Overseeing the carving process
Very happy with his ghost and bat pumpkins:)
On Friday, they had a Halloween party at school. Bryant wanted to be extra prepared when he had to pack his costume for school that he figured he should also pack his Halloween light and a couple pieces of candy.
I was really interested to see if Bryant was telling us a story about who his friends were going to be for Halloween or if it really was true. He was saying that him, Kaleb, and Landon were going to be Captain America and that Captain America fights down bad guys and tigers. And his friend Drew was going to be the tiger. Sounds like a good story right? Well, it was a true story except Landon changed his mind at the last minute to be Scooby Doo and then was sad he did. Here's Bryant with his best buddy Kaleb.
Saturday morning we headed to downtown Helena for some trick or treating with the businesses. Even though we practiced how to trick or treat, Bryant was so scared when we got to the first business. After that he was much better and made sure to always say thank you.
That night we went around our neighborhood and Bryant hauled in some major loot. All the neighbors were so happy to see him that he got special treat bags, cupcakes, toys, and full size candy bars. His little basket filled up quickly and so did mom and dad's pockets with all the overflow.
This was the scary cupcake that he picked out.
He had so much fun and even wanted to sleep in his costume. Today we headed over to our rental house to do some last minute stuff before it closes (yay, we finally have an offer - fingers crossed it goes through). Bryant was helping me rake the leaves and then jump in the piles.
And then climbed the tree and said "Look Mom, I'm a monkey!"
He was such a big help at the house today. He was so disappointed when he and I left early because he wanted to stay and help dad all day. I think he's going to be quick the big helper as a big brother:)
