Believe it or not, I finally have a new post! It's crazy looking back almost 6 months at pictures and seeing how much our kids have grown. Crazy how they get older, but we never age ;)
This is back to our freezing cold Easter Egg Hunt for the neighborhood. Yes, that is snow on the ground in April. It was so cold that I hardly took any pictures.
I think the boys like Bella's crate better than she does...
When I said kids earlier, that included our pup. She was so tiny chasing the boys in the grass. Now there's no way the boys can keep up with her!
I was putting Bryant to bed the night before Easter and he asked me if the Easter Bunny was going to come. I explained that the Easter Bunny brought us Bella early, so they probably wouldn't visit again. He then explained that he didn't need presents, but he was really hoping there would be eggs hidden. Luckily we had the neighborhood hunt the day before, so magically very similar eggs and candy appeared in our basement. Bryant loved helping Garrett find them and it was much more pleasant having an inside hunt instead of outside.
Feeding their pup.
We made a quick stop at Lowes and the boys cannot pass the tractors without driving them.
Off to Grandma and Grandpa's for more Easter fun.
Garrett fell asleep on the way there, so it took him a LONG time to be interested in hunting for his eggs.
These two love to snuggle at bed time.
Garrett loves to sing songs. We've been slowly working on potty training for apparently 5 months now...but I was trying to keep him entertained while on the potty so he sang me songs. Here are the Itsy Bitsy Spider, a song for meal time at his daycare (open, shut them), and the ABCs. You can also tell why I have to hide chap sticks from him...
He loves his trains!
And slides
I just love his giggle
Bella's first slide
Garrett can hardly contain his excitement and Bella looks a bit frightened...
In Kindergarten, Bryant didn't have homework, but he decided one night that he should do some, so he and I were writing out his numbers and he wanted to give it to his teacher, Ms. Davey, with a note. He absolutely has the biggest heart.
And then he drew a picture of his kindergarten classroom.
He loves basketball and was out practicing his dribbling skills.
Garrett looks quite happy in his jail fort.
We took in a science show and magic show. The boys were in awe. Garrett kept asking "what happened".
The boys were out playing sports in the yard and after I took this picture of Bryant, I couldn't believe how old he looked. I remembered taking a similar picture when he was two years old. What happened to my little boy???
April was definitely still chilly, but when the snow finally melted, the boys couldn't wait to have a picnic, even if that meant we froze outside with our jackets on.
More songs...Twinkle, Twinkle. Or as Garrett says "Kwinkle, Kwinkle"
When it's windy, but you still want to play outside, you grab kites! Bryant wanted to try his hand at the big kite.
Garrett watching the kite flying with his great fashion sense. You never know when you might need an extra hat.
Yes...the kite was big enough to lift Bryant off the ground.
I missed the action on video, but this was the end result of the flying from the previous picture. Yes, Bryant was okay and was laughing:)
More play time AND without jackets!
Fun at the park
I love Bryant's determined face
Sleepy puppy!
The old lawn chair broke, but that didn't stop the boys from having fun and using it as a fort.
When it started to get dark, we lit the candles to keep the mosquitos away and Garrett associates candles with birthdays, so he always starts to sing. He was singing quietly, so you'll have to listen closely.
I was cleaning out the boys' dressers and adding bigger sizes to Garrett's and figure I would wash some big boy underwear for him to be ready for when we really wanted to get serious about potty training. He absolutely HAD to put them on and then needed to show his muscles.
Fireman Garrett doesn't leave home without his hat.
That's it for April! More to come and hopefully it won't take me 5 months to do it!
