April Update

In the March update, you saw random purchases at the grocery store.  Besides all the snack food, Garrett also wanted Easter decorations.  I convinced him to at least get something to color instead of bracelets and necklaces.  So he got busy coloring and decorating the house for Easter.

Bryant has been growing like crazy and so he got some new shorts and t-shirts.  Garrett didn't think it was fair, so I pulled out some of Bryant's old clothes so that Garrett felt like he got some new clothes too.  One of his favorites was this rugby jersey from New Zealand.

Bike riding fun...you'll notice marker all over Garrett's face.  He goes through phases where he just randomly colors on things he isn't supposed to...

Garrett - what's on your face?

Easter morning!

We had Easter at Grandpa Jack and Grandma Susie's house and my brother and family came to visit too.

The next weekend was Bryant's first lacrosse tournament in Helena

It was so windy in the afternoon, so this was how Garrett took shelter

Bryant tried goalie in the second half of one of the games and luckily he didn't have to play there the rest of the season.  He'd never practiced in goal before and had several goals scored on him, so definitely a learning experience.

Garrett had a birthday party during Bryant's second game at the new trampoline park, so Bryant was really jealous that Garrett got to go there, but he didn't.  So the next day, we took both boys there.  We bought a 2 hour pass and they were exhausted after about an hour and a half.

Hence the nap in the middle of the living room.

I feel like 90% of this post is evidence of the tornado that Garrett turns into in the middle of the night.  He starts covered up and ends up with pillows and blankets everywhere!

The next weekend of lacrosse was in Kalispell.  Garrett still doesn't mind sleeping in the car to make the trip go faster.

I mostly took videos during lacrosse, so I don't have many pictures.  Garrett always brought his own stick to play on the sidelines and  you can see Bryant (#1) on the field behind him.

It was an overnight trip with a pretty early game on Sunday and the tornado even knows how to tear a hotel room bed apart and ended up upside down.

Checking out pictures on Grandma's iPad after getting back from our trip

Bryant had been renting his lacrosse stick, so we went and bought him his own and he was ecstatic!

Trav's parent's house sold, so he went to clean out his old bedroom and brought home some treasures that Garrett enjoyed going through.

Bryant's lacrosse team was made up of 3rd and 4th graders.  He's the 2nd youngest on the team and close to the tallest.  He's pretty easy to identify because he's got the yellow bill on the front of his helmet.

Garrett played soccer on Sundays, so every Saturday was spent following Bryant to different towns for lacrosse and every Sunday was watching Garrett play soccer. Like lacrosse, soccer was mostly videos, so I don't have hardly any pictures of Garrett playing.  He was funny to watch, especially at the beginning because everywhere he went, he jumped, hopped, squealed, and was beyond excited.

We rode our bikes to Spring Meadow and had a quick minute for 'cheese' pictures.

The boys enjoy working on their Kiwi Crates each month

This month Garrett learned about bones in the body

And you could even make your own x-ray.  We were playing around with different pictures to see if we could trick Grandma and Grandpa to think that Garrett broke his arm.  At a quick glance, if you saw this picture, would you be fooled?!?

Helena had a horrible wind storm that knocked over a huge tree at our Civic Center, so for Arbor Day, the city planted a new tree.  Garrett's preschool class got to be part of the celebration and he got to put dirt on the tree with a golden shovel and they got their picture in the paper (will be in May's update).  They also got a little sapling to plant too and he was so proud of it!

Hoverboard fun in the road
