New and Exciting Things

Bryant's newest "trick" is that he is starting to smile at toys and faces now.  Unfortunately he doesn't like to smile for cameras, so I've yet to capture a good smile.  Here is the closest I have gotten so far...

His head control is getting a little better, so we thought we would stick him in his jumperoo to see what he would do.  I think there was a bit of over stimulation:)  He's definitely got a little more growing to do before he can touch the ground too.

Bryant's Aunt Heather, Uncle Brian and cousins Madeline and Olivia came to visit, so we went to the carousel for some fun.  Bryant was content in his car seat, so his dad took advantage of the carousel ride instead

Bryant and Olivia are a little less than a month apart and they seem to already be communicating to each other.  The whole day they were on the same schedule - they slept, ate, and "played" at the same times.  They were both sleeping at the carousel and then both decided to wake up just a little...

Today, Bryant had his first experience at the park.  There were so many fun things that he'll enjoy when he is older, but in the meantime, Madeline was showing how much fun could be had.

Bryant ended up sleeping in the Moby wrap almost the whole time we were playing in the park, so in our little family photo op, all you see is his hat:)

He also watched the Bobcats for the first football game of the year.  He tried to wake up a little to cheer them on and it must have been all they needed because they won!

4 Week Update

Bryant is still too young for his stroller, but we had to pull it out the other day to see how he liked it.  Turns out he fits better down below and Mocha in the actual seat.

I attempted to take a couple of pictures on his 4 week birthday to show how much this little monkey has grown.
I always wonder what he's thinking...I feel like he's scheming up some big plan of escape here

I'm wondering if Bryant watched too much of the Olympics - he's already doing the Usain Bolt pose!

Trees

Travis had the weekend off, so we decided what better way to spend his time off than to work at home.  We bought seven trees for the one side of the house.  Travis was thinking that he was going to dig the holes by hand and I convinced him that renting a "dingo" with an auger would make his life so much easier.  He did end up renting the dingo and minus the 1.5 hours he had to spend repairing the track that came off, it was worth renting it.  Some of the holes were so rocky that it would have taken forever to dig by hand.

Bryant says that he is going to grow as tall as this tree

Okay, maybe not...the trees we bought were pretty tall to begin with, so hopefully they survive!

I felt bad because Travis was working his butt off in the heat this weekend to plant the trees and I couldn't help as much as I have in the past.  Little B and I did manage to make it outside for a little bit and as you can see, it sure can wear a baby out!

Time Flies!

It's hard to believe our little man is three weeks old already.  We haven't weighed or measured him since his two week appointment, but I know he's definitely growing since his newborn clothes are a little too snug now.

Bryant got his first pair of Nikes from a friend the other day, so we immediately had to try them on.

Bryant's "first steps" - you can see he's not too happy, but I'm sure when his shoes fit better, we won't be able to stop him from running around!

He also got his first pair of shades from a friend.  It was rainy in Helena today, so I thought if he wore his sunglasses during nap time that it might bring out the sunshine:)

Two Weeks!

It's hard to believe that Bryant is two weeks old already.  We went back to the doctor today for a checkup and Bryant is growing like a weed!  They want babies to get back up to their birth weight by 2 weeks and our little man was an over achiever.  He weighed 8 pounds 1/4 ounce and was 20.5 inches long at birth.  At two weeks, Bryant weighed 8 pounds 11 ounces and was 21 inches long.  Way to go little man!

We also got a sneak peak of one of his newborn pictures.  What a cutie - I just love the smiles from a sleeping baby!

He's staying awake a little more during the day and one of his new favorite things is to dance to music with his dad.  I didn't catch a whole lot of it, but he kicks his little legs like crazy!

3D Ultrasound

I had an ultrasound done at 30 weeks and they were able to get 3D pictures of Bryant. I am amazed at how accurate they are. Can you see the similarities between the ultrasound and our little man?

In the ultrasound, they also found that Bryant had 1/2" of hair on the back of his head as shown by all the white lines

We thought he might have a half inch of hair on his whole head, but turns out it really was just on the back of his head!

First Bath

On Thursday, Bryant lost his umbilical cord in the middle of his newborn photo session.  So, on Saturday, he got his first bath. He wasn't sure about it at first...

But actually did really well

Clean and Happy Baby!
