Books

I forgot to include in my 14 month post about how much Bryant loves books.  Whether we read the whole thing or just the first few pages, he will continually bring you books and sit in your lap to read them.

14 Months and More

Bryant is yet another month older and I'm belated in posting about it again.  This time, I'm not going to use the excuse of how fast time flies...I'm using the excuse that I have taken too many pictures over the last 14 months and I'm having to save pictures elsewhere because my hard drive is full!

Bryant is a little climber now.  Instead of pushing his truck around, he feels he should ride in it, so he climbs right in.  And as of today, he feels he should get to stand in the back of his truck.

Downstairs we had an obstacle set up by the bar.  We put the banana chair sideways to block the entrance so Bryant couldn't get back there, but Mocha could sneak by and get a drink of water.  Since Bryant is now climbing over everything, he now can climb over the banana chair laying on its side.  So, I took down the obstacle and he found a plastic spoon and bowl behind the bar and proceeded to play with them and rock in the banana chair.

He has changed so much this past month.  He's started being really stubborn about using his sign language and his words.  The only words he seems to use are more, mama, and dada.

We bought him some new clothes for winter and ended up buying him some 2T pajamas and they aren't that big on him.  I'm interested to see how much he has grown at his doctor's appointment in a month.

He's started frowning and pouting when we tell him no or to be gentle with Mocha.

On Saturday, my brother and his family came up to visit.  The cousins had so much fun playing together.  Being the youngest, Bryant still watched a lot and took it all in, but I'm noticing that he is starting to interact with kids more instead of play independently.

They all loved playing the piano, they just weren't happy with the double flash on my cell phone camera

Sitting on Grandpa's lap

After seeing Travis' baby pictures, I was convinced that Bryant was a little mini-me of Travis, but seeing him with his cousins, I think there is quite a bit of Zanto gene in him too.  It was fun watching them play together and I'm sure they will only have more and more fun as they get older!

Carnival Classic

On Sunday, we headed to the Carnival Classic in Helena.  The event helps support the local schools and organizations and there were tons of booths and people.  Bryant was a bit overwhelmed with all the activity, but had a few favorite booths.  He liked taking the golf balls from the miniature golf course, and watching the robots and horse rides.  He really liked the set-up by Kid Sports.  They take kids as young as 18 months, so we are thinking of signing Bryant up in a couple months!

Bryant also played the game at the booth for his future school...he'll be a Warren Wolverine!  He "threw" the football through the hoop...
...and won a book!

Later, we stopped at Lowes to pick up a few items and we let Bryant drive the cart...he loved it!

The weather started getting a bit chilly lately, so we put Bryant's coat on that we got him as a baby.  It still fits!

We also ordered a Booster chair the other day to use as a high chair when we travel.  Bryant loves little seats that are his size, so when we got it today, he immediately started sitting in it and pushing it around the house.  I would say it was a successful purchase!

Bryant's sign language has also improved significantly over the past couple weeks.  He now consistently says more, please, milk, all done, and will occasionally sign thank you.  I think he is also starting to try and say words, but they definitely don't make a lot of sense yet.  From what I can tell, three of his "words" are bubbles (bah-bas), quack, quack (ack, ack), and dog (gog).  Each day, Bryant finds a new way to entertain us, whether with his words or actions.  So fun!

Go Bobcats!

The luck of the jersey continued! On Saturday, we headed to Bozeman to watch some volleyball and football and the Bobcats won both games! Bryant really liked the bobcat in the lobby...I think he even tried to say bobcat:)

Time for kickoff! As you can see Bryant didn't pay too much attention to the game

After the game, they open up the field. Bryant loved running around on the astro turf

It was a pretty long day for him, so he was pretty tired after the game. Instead of "so big" he now raises his arms above his head when we say touchdown! With being so tired, this was all he could do after the game...

He fell asleep on the way to dinner and even slept through half of dinner.

I think Bryant's first game day experience was a good one! He may become famous too...he had his picture taken by the alumni association and a video for what we think was the news:) I thought that it was just me liking to take pictures of him, but apparently others do too!

More Eating and Playing

The other day, Grandpa Ed was in town and got to take Bryant out to lunch.  They went to Buffalo Wild Wings and Bryant got a hat...he's now Grandpa's wing man:)

Later that night, he also got to try pudding.  It definitely has not mastered the spoon, but has shown more interest in using a spoon to eat rather than using as a drum stick.

Bryant got to wear his jersey for Bobcat game day again today and he got a little tired eating snacks on our morning walk.

Bryant is very much a blankie boy.  He sleeps with this blanket and will often times grab it out of his crib and snuggle with it.

He's always looking out for Mocha and making sure she gets blankie snuggles too...poor Mocha puts up with so much

The other day at daycare, the teacher's asked me if Travis and I played basketball because Bryant has apparently been getting a little rough and pushing the other kids around.  So tonight, Travis set up Bryant's first basketball hoop.  Our all-star is already dunking!

"Eating"

Bryant constantly has me laughing.  One of his newer "things" is pretending to eat.  He's done it a couple times before, but yesterday when his mandarin oranges were all gone, he continued to eat them anyway.  He'll even do this in the bath...he pretends to take food out of the water pitcher in his bath and eat it!  Such a silly boy:)

Today, I decided to try a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for lunch and I had to laugh at the spot he got on his nose.

And fake food or not, now that Bryant has teeth, he got his first toothbrush and got to use it for the first time today.  He actually really enjoys getting his teeth brushed!
