Happy 3rd Birthday Bryant

Bryant's birthday turns into Bryant's birthday week. We started on Wednesday night opening presents from Grandma and Grandpa Zanto.

And getting frozen yogurt.  Don't let this face fool you - he loved his cereal magic flavored frozen yogurt.

Fridays are show and tell day at school, so of course he had to bring his new basketball.  I took Bryant to school and he was very excited to pick out cupcakes and bring them to his friends.

Friday they also had their last t-ball game.  The kids got backpacks and medals.  For the struggles we had with him not wanting to play in the middle of the season, he ended up playing pretty well and having lots of fun.

Afterwards, we took him to the Brewers game.

Friday was such a crazy day that we had him open his birthday presents on Saturday.

He was so fun to watch opening his presents.

Then it was time for his party.  Bryant decided he wanted to have his party at the Carousel this year, so we picked up some balloons

And his cake (he requested a football cake) and headed to the party

He had lots of fun on the rides

And with his friends

This must be his ice cream face?

Bryant was lecturing Corbin that he couldn't take the tissue paper out of his present

When we got back, he had another present sitting on our doorstep.  He was so excited when he opened it up and saw as he called it, Ninja Turtle knock down (aka bowling)!

After that, we headed to town for the fair and rodeo.  Bryant loved the animals!

He was so intrigued at the rodeo. Lately he's been asking a lot of "whys", but he was so interested in the rodeo that he hardly said a word, but he did clap a lot.

When they were trying to get the crowd pumped up, Bryant was clapping and started dancing like he was riding a bronc.  He got a bid shy in front of the camera, but it was still cute.

When getting ready for bed, he said his favorite part of the day was the motorcycles that did jumps in between the rodeo events.

We ended off the night with a bag of cotton candy.

It was a fun packed weekend for our special little boy!

And last, but not least, Bryant got a very special present on his birthday:

We are so excited to have a new edition join us in February.  Bryant is really hoping for a baby sister, so we'll just have to wait and see:)  He started telling his teachers at school the other day and they asked him if the baby was in his mommy's belly and he answered with "Nope, she has to ask my dad."  I have no idea where that came from!

Miscellaneous Catch-up Post

We took Bryant to his first Brewers game for the year.  He loves going this year too and really enjoys the snacks.  It amazes me what he takes in too.  The other night at t-ball, he started throwing like a pitcher and bringing his arms above his head before his windup.

And the coach threw him a ball after the game!

Because how else are you supposed to watch Saturday morning cartoons?

He is loving his new bike. We had to pull out Trav's old bike just so we can keep up when we ride around the neighborhood

He is starting to understand his balance bike too.

And here's him on his "motorcycle" bike

He's getting pretty good, but it sure makes us nervous!

Cousins

Trav's sister and family was in Montana for most of the month of July.  Over the 4th of July weekend, we headed to the cabin to catch up.  I think this is the first longer trip we have gone on since Bryant has been potty trained, so we made a stop in Ennis for a potty break and some popcorn.

The popcorn was enough to get him to take a nap so he could be all rested to play.

There was more stuff to do and not enough time to do it.  They flew kites...

Look how high we got the kite - not bad for a Dollar Store purchase:)

Then it was a cousins birthday party (Madeline 6, Olivia and Bryant 3)

They all got sleeping bags!

Time for cake!

All weekend we were trying for a good cousin picture.

The kids get bored with smiles, so this is their sad face.  This has to be one of my all time favorite pictures because they are all looking at each other sadly, yet trying not to laugh.

And of course, a silly face picture.

They played t-ball - this is their defensive stances

Roasted marshmallows for smores

I don't think Bryant got the memo - raise your hand if you like smores...

Madeline and Bryant showing off their shades.

They went for a boat ride.

Bryant was pretty concerned with driving at first but gave it a thumbs up at the end.

Then it was time for fishing

Bryant's first fish!

Then we headed to West Yellowstone for their 4th of July fireworks show.  Bryant was whistling away waiting for the show to start

All snuggled up in their new sleeping bags

This picture is so not attractive of us, but it makes me laugh anyway.  The flash is a bit bright at night!

The next day was cold and I didn't pack any warm clothes.  Bryant wanted to go fishing, so we improvised with the extra clothing at the cabin.  Sweet socks B-Man!

Olivia's fish - all of the kids were excited to get a fish on the line, but as soon as it came out of the water, they weren't big fans.

One of many fish for Madeline

They got to eat fresh picked strawberries

And then it was time to head home.  The next weekend, we met up with the cousins again in Bozeman to see the Museum of the Rockies.  We of course saw the dinosaurs

And then toured the chocolate exhibit.  Each kid got to pick out their favorite chocolate for a picture

Trouble started when Olivia and Bryant liked the same piece of chocolate

But in the end, all was good

Madeline got a ring made for her by the blacksmith

Another weekend we headed to Whitehall for the last playdate with the cousins in Montana.  Bryant has been doing really well with potty training and we very rarely have an accident.  So much so that I don't think of bringing spare clothes on road trips.  With all the action, he got busy and got an accident.  So we improvised and got Trav's wrestling singlet out from when he was about 6 years old.

The kids got to swing at the owl pinata

And mined for gold

We were so glad we could spend so much time with them while in Montana and I love that Bryant and his cousins play together so well even though they only get to see eachother a couple times a year.
