11 Months

Bryant is definitely all boy. He gets a new bump or bruise every day, and then what did we do tonight? We wrestled, which turned into a giggle party! Every day Bryant continues to amaze me with how much he is learning and keeps me entertained with his little personality. Happy 11 month birthday to my wild and crazy little boy!

Brewers Baseball

Bryant went to his first baseball game this afternoon. We watched the Helena Brewers play and it was a perfect afternoon. I forgot my camera (again!) so all I got was one picture on my phone.

Both sets of grandparents joined us and Bryant got his first taste of ballpark food with a super pretzel!

Itsy Bitsy Spider

We have a book on the Itsy Bitsy Spider that we do the hand motions to and Bryant has his own version of the spider crawling up the water spout...

He his really starting to mimic more of what we do and some of his favorites are:
~Smacking his lips
~Waving bye-bye
~Giving high fives
~Asking for more, especially more yogurt puffs

Rainy Day Fun

On Tuesday, my work celebrated 100 years by having a car show and barbeque at the Capitol building.  We were a little late, so we missed the food and some of the old cars, but it was a beautiful night and a great picture opportunity!

Today, on the other hand, was rainy.  So we took Bryant to Exploration Works to play around.
He pushed around a grocery cart

Crawled through logs

Played in a space tent

Climbed the stairs to the slide

Crawled over to the slide

And went down the slide!
Bryant seems to be growing up and becoming independent so quickly.  I couldn't believe he was able to do the slide by himself...and apparently going down the slide on his tummy was a lot more fun than going down the slide with me!  Right next door to Exploration Works is the Carousel, so we stopped in for an ice cream cone.  Bryant thought after all his playing that he deserved a bite...
We are hoping for some sunshine tomorrow because Bryant loves to be outside:)

York Bar and Park

Tonight we decided to take the short little drive to the York Bar.  It's a beautiful drive, the bar has great burgers, and we wanted to check out the park across the street.  For being in the middle of nowhere, the park was awesome!

The playground actually had rubber chips on the ground.  Bryant loved to pick up the pieces and either attempt to eat them or give them to mom and dad.

He's started doing this bear crawl more rather than crawling on his hands and knees.

We went down a couple slides...

I thought it was fun...not sure about Bryant though...

We had a blast tonight!  The food and weather were great and we had such fun playground equipment all to  ourselves!

Governor's Cup Weekend Continued

My mom sent some pictures from her camera that I wanted to share. Here is the whole crew, minus my mom, after crossing the finish line

It was a tough race for Bryant to have to get pushed in his comfy stroller so he needed to rehydrate;)

Zoey loves to give Bryant hugs and he was all about getting them because he got that much closer to pulling her hair

And with our newest purchase, I have officially become a mom. My car had some transmission problems and with how much stuff Bryant has, we needed something bigger. Both Travis and I never thought it would be a minivan, but I love it!

We are also heading into summer, which means it is birthday time. We celebrated Grandpa Jack's birthday and Grandma Betty's birthdays just a couple days apart. I, of course, didn't think to bring my camera, but we were glad we could be there to help celebrate both birthdays!

Happy Father's Day!

Travis had to work today, so we wanted to make the best of our day together.  We started by opening gifts and Bryant got to show off his first art project from daycare.

Bryant managed to sneak in a couple books with daddy's present too:)
I guess I should clarify that our morning didn't start with presents right away.  Bryant's and my head collided first thing in the morning and I think I got the worst end of the deal.  He definitely got a bruise over his right eye, but I may have gotten a broken nose:(

We then took daddy out to lunch for a picnic at the park and Bryant loved the birds.  I wouldn't be surprised if his first word is "bird" or "tweet".  He just kept pointing and saying "bah"

Just in the past week, Bryant has made huge progress in walking.  Now when we hold his hands, he actually walks, not hops!

I also put in a couple of pictures from the other day.  Bryant loves to stand at the window and walk back and forth, so if you stop by the house, you might be greeted by this smiley boy!

Bryant is so lucky to have such a great dad.  No one can get a better laugh out of Bryant and nothing makes me happier than watching those two play together.  Hope you had a great 1st Father's Day, Trav and a Happy Father's Day to all dads!

Fun-filled Weekends

Last weekend was the Governor's Cup and my parents, brother and family, and Bryant and I walked the 5k. Bryant had fun watching all the people and playing with his cousins.
Pre-race
We finished!
After the race, he got home and took about a 10 minute nap and this is how he woke up...

On another day and I went in to check on him napping. It looks like his arm is broken, but he was quite comfortable!

Today, we took daddy to breakfast at the golf course. Bryant loved watching the golfers and carts and just being outside

Then we went to a birthday party for his friend that turned 2. They had bouncy houses, which Bryant thought was super cool...from the outside.

Daddy was working today so we picked him up for dinner and had a picnic in the park

Eating with a Spoon

Bryant decided that he wanted control of his spoon at dinner tonight. I thought maybe he was wanting to feed himself with a spoon rather than his hands, but I should have known better...spoons are like drum sticks and make lots of fun noises when banging on his tray. The longer I let him play, the bigger the smiles!

On another note, Bryant is graduating from a "turtle" to a "frog" at daycare. He is going to be joining the 1-2 year olds any day now. As hard as it is for me to admit he is growing up, I think he will really like playing on the big kid side. He's developed a bit of stranger anxiety, but he's pretty familiar with the teacher, so the transition may not be too difficult. I also think we may be on the verge of a tooth coming!
