Catching Up!

It has been a busy couple weeks and it will only get busier with Bryant's birthday coming up!  I haven't found the time to upload pictures and I keep taking more and more, so this is a miscellaneous post about our past 3+? weeks.  Bryant has taken a big interest in dressing himself lately.  This is how he got dressed the other day...reminded us of the little boy off Big Daddy:)

We went to another baseball game.  Our boys sure do have fun!  Bryant really wanted to run the bases after the game, so we took some pictures while we waited.

We've had several t-ball games.  Garrett is such a trooper hanging out at the ball fields.

Bryant has been hit or miss lately on whether he plays or not.  I think it has to do with whether he is hungry and / or tired and being shy.  Lately he has been a little off, but I think that has to do with growing so much.  He just grew .5 inches in 15 days!

This day absolutely cracked me up because this little boy looked like he was talking trash to Bryant.  Bryant didn't know what to do, but they both ended up thinking it was pretty funny!

High fives after the game

We recently got a super cute turtle blanket from my Aunt Judy (Grandpa Jack's sister).  The boys love rolling around together on blankets!

Before the 4th of July weekend, we went out with Grandpa Jack and Grandma Susie to celebrate Grandma's birthday and their 40th wedding anniversary!  Nothing better than frozen yogurt on a hot day.

Bryant loves his drill powered go cart that Travis made for him.  He stopped being our cautious little boy and just races everywhere (video later in the post)

For the 4th of July weekend, we headed to the cabin to spend the weekend with Grandpa Ed and Grandma Betty.  Bryant has been wanting to go to the cabin for a long time so that he could go fishing, so when we got there, he had to practice fishing off the deck.

Garrett is such a happy little guy!

His daddy can always get the biggest smiles out of him:)

Grandpa Ed and Bryant picking out a fishing lure

Bryant's first fish of the year!  He caught 5 over the weekend.  He was a bit nervous being around the fish he caught.

By the end, he was touching their tails.

And reeling them all the way out all by himself.

High five!

Travis even caught a huge one too!

Looks like a pretty comfy way to watch a movie.

It was a pretty rainy weekend, but we did have time to fit in Garrett's first boat ride.  He wasn't a big fan, but I think that was because of the infant life jacket.

Then it was the 4th of July.

Bryant wore the same shirt, but he was almost 1...Garrett wasn't quite 5 months!  Here's Bryant:

Bryant loves playing baseball.  I know I am super biased, but he has such a natural swing!

Bryant has never been a big fan of watermelon.  He might eat a little piece every once in awhile, but as of the 4th of July, he loves watermelon and eats a ton of it!

Seriously, how did we end up with two of the happiest boys? I love those smiles!

Both boys were exhausted on the way home and slept the entire 3 hour drive!

When we got home, we had some poppers for Bryant to have as fireworks.  Safety comes first in our house, which is apparently why we wear helmets, but not shoes...

The neighbors were shooting off fireworks, so it was nice because we had a great view, but not so nice because they were too loud for Bryant.  He stayed out for about 5 minutes to watch with me like this...somehow, I even captured a firework in the window!

Garrett was all ready for school in his rugby outfit.  Travis called this his milk haka face.

More go-cart

I love this video...he has so much fun on his go-cart!

We got some batteries that have a super long life and we can take it around our whole neighborhood and not run out of battery.  Garrett got a ride in the backpack and conked out.

How adorable is that?

The other day at practice, they didn't have a tee for the kids, so Travis offered to pitch to them.  The kids had a blast and Bryant loved being his dad's helper.  The kids would throw the balls to Bryant and he would put them in the bucket.

At one of this games, Bryant's buddy put his hat on backward, so Bryant quickly followed suit.

After the game, they took their individual and team pictures:

Because he played, I told him I would go get him a new water bottle.  He was pretty happy with his selection.

You can't really see much in this video but Garrett giggles like crazy when Travis "raps".

Bryant has gotten really good at getting his brother to giggle too.

Last weekend, we headed back to the cabin with some friends and on Saturday, we ventured into Yellowstone National Park.  On our trip we saw 5 elk and 3 buffalo.

For having 4 total kids in tow, we timed Old Faithful perfectly!  We had lunch in the parking lot and then we only had to wait about 10 minutes for the geyser to go off.  And not only did we see Old Faithful go off, but Beehive, which only goes off about once every 12 to 15 hours, went at the same time!

We had such a fund time hanging out while the boys played!

Gage and Bryant were even playing baseball together.  I was amazed at how well they did.  They would take turns pitching to each other and they were both hitting the pitches!

Here's Garrett doing tummy time at 5 months

And Bryant at 5 months:

And some super hero pictures...

Bryant is so much less cautious on his bike after the weekend at the cabin with friends. He is starting to get the whole balancing thing down.  It used to take us forever to get down our driveway when riding bikes and now we have to keep telling him to slow down...

He also tried it out with his pedal bike.  I don't think it'll be long and he won't need training wheels anymore!

This was just from tonight...Garrett thinks he's really funny!

This weekend we are off to Fairmont to see my Aunt Sheri and Uncle Carl, so more pictures to come!
