July Update

Garrett loves to play wii at Grandma and Grandpa's house. It may require only a few arm movements but he gets his whole body jumping and moving!

Apparently he expended a lot of energy playing wii. Instead of eating dinner, he crawled under the table and took a nap.

We headed to the cabin for more cousin fun. Bryant conveniently started to feel "car sick" by the school in Harrison so we stopped to play in the park for a bit.

He's into take selfies in the car. You get a good view of his shark tooth / snuggle tooth

Kid confetti / fireworks

Bryant and Livy are the best of little buddies and were busy building a doggy day care with items they found around the lake

Garrett and Madeline were best of little buddies

Bryant would spend all day in the water if we would let him

The boys had their first experience on the inner tube. I wasn't on the boat when Bryant went but he said it was fun. Garrett was super excited and told grandpa to "give her the onion" when he was ready to go fast. When he described what he was saying to grandma after the ride he said "give me the pickle!"

They were a little chilly after playing in the cold lake water

The next morning, Bryant and Olivia went out fishing with the adult boys and when Garrett found out he was so sad that he didn't get to go

But did find some fun taking Bella for a walk

Paddle boarding in the marina

Showing off his muscles

Raising the flag for the 4th of July

Finding leeches in the lake

Happy 4th of July!

Boat ride and fishing since Garrett didn't go the day before

Heading home after some long, fun days

Leads to 1 sleepy kid

And 1 sleepy dog

And a 2nd sleepy kid.  Bryant almost never naps in the car anymore so we knew he was exhausted!

The high school baseball team had a couple games that we went and watched

The first team we watched was freshman/sophomores and the visiting team was from Anaconda.  Bryant kept asking when the other team was going to show up because he felt he was as tall as all the Anaconda players :)

Since the boys were playing baseball and t-ball this summer, they felt like they needed new cleats and baseball pants.

Practicing at the softball fields behind our house

Bryant and Grandma Susie made a cake with chocolate ganache frosting

Bryant loves to run through the sprinklers

Or just lounge in front of them!

Or just sit on them!

Practicing baseball...Garrett was pretty excited he made the catch!

We had so many raspberries from our garden!

Garrett working on his "ready" stance at his first practice

Bryant wanted to try going to bed by himself, but he thought he might need some company still, so piled in some of his stuffed animals with him.

We had a little sickness (not COVID - thankfully) sweep through our house so when I went downstairs, I found 2 sleeping kids in the middle of the afternoon.

And poor Bella always gets dressed up by the boys

Bryant finally pulled his snaggletooth out!

Garrett got a new big boy car seat

He wanted me to take his picture and send it to his grandmas and grandpas.

But still wasn't quite feeling well and asked to go to bed.

Playing doctor.  And those aren't cuts all over his face...just leftover smoothie:)

Grandma Susie was busy making all kinds of masks for the boys

Another take my picture and send it to Grandmas and Grandpas - showing off his pull-ups

Happy Birthday breakfast donuts!

Someone was having a rough time that it wasn't his birthday

Bryant asked for a skateboard and a punching bag for his birthday

After presents in the morning, he headed out for his annual tradition of golfing with Grandpa Jack and Grandma Susie at Norwegian Woods.  Then back for more presents

Then Garrett had a practice...his ready stance got much better!

Time for cake!

He wanted to stay up late and watch TV and after a long day, he just conked out.  I can't believe Bryant is 8 years old!  Some days I look at him and I can see a teenager - it seems like he grows so much.  He still has a huge heart and can be very thoughtful, yet he can also be very competitive.  He has so many interests from baking to building to any type of competition.  He is a great student and loves to learn (just maybe not at home!) and can have a silly side too.  So, Bryant - happy birthday to you!

Dodgeball competition...Bryant is a good big brother, but he is competitive, so there was no taking it easy on Garrett...

Garrett getting ready to throw the ball at his t-ball game

Bryant doing the same at his baseball game

Garrett loved the snacks part of t-ball too:)

I can just see Bryant doing this as a teenager too...and sometimes he eats like one.

Definitely a lot of baseball in July and more to come in August!
