February Update

Garrett liked Grandma's microphone headset - such an online meeting world that everyone has become accustomed to.

Have I mentioned this guy's unique style?

Excited to do Valentine's day cards for their friends at school

And also celebrating Bella's birthday.  Bryant wanted to make dog treats for Bella for her birthday.

Meanwhile Garrett still plugged away on cards.  Might as well get comfortable?

BELLA cookies for the birthday pup!

And just like that, we have a 5 year old!  Garrett has been looking forward to this milestone for so long because that means he gets to go to kindergarten!

We surprised the boys for Garrett's birthday and told them we were taking them on a trip, but didn't tell them where.

We arrived at our destination to a hotel with waterslides in Billings and they boys were thrilled!

We had incredibly cold weather for the trip and a portion of the waterslides travelled outside, so the water was FREEZING, but that didn't stop Bryant from going down multiple times.  I didn't take any pictures, but the boys had an absolute blast and Bryant wanted to come back for his birthday.  Safe to say that a couple hours at a pool wears out a 5 year old.  He couldn't even eat dinner.  The poor kiddo fell asleep in the well-lit restaurant and was out for the rest of the night, which included walking back to our hotel in freezing temperatures.

We had to do Scheels while we were in Billings too and an employee came and put in a whole bunch of tokens for the kids to shoot at the different targets.

And of course we had to do silly pictures with all the different props around the store.

Then it was back to Helena where Garrett had more presents waiting for him.

Definitely rare that my 5 year old willingly snuggles with me and falls asleep so I had to take a picture!

We also promised to take Garrett to his favorite restaurant (Pizza Ranch) for his birthday so he could play games.

Bryant loves his buddy Daniel!

and he also loves snow.  He would play in it for hours if we let him.

We promised the boys that we would take them skating again this year, which was more difficult than usual because of the limited numbers allowed at a time and everyone in Helena looking to do some kind of activity after not having anything for so long.  The ice ended up being sorta bumpy and I think the boys forgot how hard it is to skate.  It ended up being a pretty trying experience, but at least the boys weren't begging to go back after that.

More snow play - he built a little snowman all by himself

Bella seemed to approve

He is still into baking and wanted to make a cake. Because he wants to be a vet when he grows up, he tried to do a medic symbol and then got carried away sprinkles.

Bryant had signed up for lacrosse last year, but it got cancelled because of COVID, so when the opportunity came up this year, we signed him back up because he seemed really interested still.  They started out with open gyms indoors.

We started lacrosse in February and that became the focus for our whole family well into June!
